NJEA PRIDE Grants
NJEA PRIDE Grants help Newton teachers support student learning and community involvement. During the 2014-15 school year a variety of community activities took place. At Merriam Avenue School, preschool parents gathered with staff and administration for “Conversations and Cupcakes” which fostered a smooth transition into the public school system. Merriam Avenue School’s second graders shared pizza with their families while showing how they were the “Upper Crust” in Language Arts.
